AltaCima is a family-run boutique winery located in Lontué Valley, Province of Curicó in the Maule Region, approximately 200 kilometers south of Santiago. It is property of the married couple of Klaus Schröder and Katharina Hanke who have been married since 1971, and that in year 1974 acquired the ‘Los Peumos’ estate, which currently has grown to be the AltaCima vineyard. At that time they were dreaming that someday they could have their own winery and produce their own wines there, dream that they could become real in year 2000 with the building of a modern winery next to their family home, and that the launching of the AC 6330 Ensamblaje, vintage 2001, finally gave life to Viña AltaCima.

In the late 1990s, Felipe Ibáñez and Jorge Gutiérrez, who had been friends since childhood, founded Viña Anakena in Alto Cachapoal, at the foothills of the Andes Mountains with the goal of crafting elegant, innovative, and distinctly New World wines that reflected their origin and Chile’s potential as a producer of world-class fine wines.

Convinced that high quality was synonymous with distinction, they visited the world’s most renowned wine regions to learn the latest viticultural and enological techniques and bring them home to Chile along with most up-to-date technology for crafting fine wines.

In 1999 they planted their first vineyards in Alto Cachapoal and built the Viña Anakena winery, leaving no detail to chance. This outstanding facility is modern, functional,

and beautifully finished.

Today, Viña Anakena has 145 hectares in Alto Cachapoal, 125 hectares in Leyda, 43 hectares in Peumo -the sector of the Cachapoal Valley closest to the coast- and 44 hectares planted in the Colchagua Valley.

Anakena wines are now consumed in more than 50 countries around the world and are consistently recognized by the most demanding international wine critics.

In planning the Anakena winery facility, architect Luis Uriarte began with a quintessential colonial style and incorporated all the modern elements needed to vinify and sell our wines.

The wine cellar itself was designed in 1999 by Techniques Trading, a leading South African firm that also advised us on acquiring the latest technology.

BODEGAS RE, upholds a concept of wines with unique character, based on RE-creating, RE-inventing, and RE-vealing ancestral wines, from those made in biblical times to wines produced in recent centuries by the family in beautiful clay vessels.

Wines of Beauty are thus RE-born.BODEGAS RE has kept the family’s clay vessels from the Maule Valley in order to develop part of their wines within them, thus demonstrating the ability to make wines of excellence by combining ancestral procedures with contemporary knowledge.

RE CONCEPT

BODEGAS RE also RE-designed and RE-created these old vessels, transforming them into giant amphorae of extraordinary quality and unsurpassable beauty.

In this way, the wines of our ancestors are RE-born, ancient artisans are RE-vived and imaginary wines are RE-created. RE-inventing dream wines RE-veals the beauty of the RE wines.

BODEGAS RE is a small family vineyard, created after a long career making wines and growing vines by Pablo Morandé and his children, with a special vision tied to mankind’s history, tradition and RE-

specting the environment.

RE TRADITION AND MODERNITYPablo is the ninth-generation descendant of the first Morandé who planted vines in Maipo in 1750 and he’s own discovery of the Casablanca Valley, and his pioneering role in making modern, elegant wines, resulted in the ideal combination for achieving the conception of RE wines, where history is the support of modernity.

Visiting Casa Marín located in Lo Abarca is a unique experience in itself – the swirling road between the coast and mountain range is truly spectacular. This boutique winery is located among rolling hills, in a picturesque town that was once only known for its romaine lettuce. The winery offers many activities for wine tourists, from a short visit to a few days, taking advantage of special prices in the wine shop and getting to know more about how the most awarded wine in Chile is made. By making a reservation, you can take a guided private tour around the winery, taste the premium wines or enjoy a relaxing stay in the “Villa Miramar” – a charming and fully-furnished Bed&Breakfast (with 2 double rooms), surrounded by Sauvignon Blanc vines on a hill from where you can admire a breathtaking view of the Pacific ocean.

For those interested in learning more about cool climate wines, take the “Terroir Discovery” tour. On a delightful walk through the vineyards you learn about the winery s secrets and aspects of the unique micro-climates, soils, sun exposure, slopes and grape varieties never revealed

before. You can start or finish the tour with a visit to the town famous for its beautiful mosaic murals and an authentic Chilean lunch with the Marín family, owners and winemakers of South America’s closest vineyard to the Pacific Ocean!

Viña Casas del Bosque was founded in 1993 by Juan Cuneo Solari and is situated in the Casablanca Valley (Chile). It was one of the first vineyards established in the coolest, most western reaches of the valley and has grown to become a successful business. It is recognized asone of the few family-owned vineyards in Chile and one of the leading wine producers in a cold-climate valley.

Furthermore, Viña Casas del Bosque has become one of the Chilean wineries offering the most comprehensive wine tourism, acknowledged by ‘Le Winery Guide’ (Brazilian) as the best winery to visit, serving the finest Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah in Chile.

They offer highly specialized tours where you get to learn about the history of the vineyard, their plantations, the way they take care of the different varieties of grape and the winemaking process. In addition to the outdoor activities offered (the ‘Picnic Experience’ and the ‘Bike Experience’), their restaurant ‘Tanino’ has been selected by ‘Wine Access’ (Canadian) as one of the top 20 best winery

restaurants in the world. Founded in 1934 by Italian Pietro De Martino Pascualone and located in Isla de Maipo, Maipo Valley. The third and fourth generations of the De Martino family now work in the winery, which maintains its dynamism, family tradition, and the adventurous, pioneering spirit of the family.

De Martino s challenge has been to create wines that are a true reflection of their origin and show Chile s unique diversity. To do so, the winemaking team constantly seeking out the most incredible places for producing wines with tremendous personality. Reinventing Chile represents De Martino s vision, and the primary objective of this innovative focus on production is to show that Chile has the potential to produce world-class wines.

Loma Larga is a family owned boutique winery located in the Casablanca valley since 1995. Unusually for the valley, Loma Larga was the first estate to plant Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Malbec. Other grapes produced are Pinot Noir, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. The long hill that is wrapped by 148 hectares / 365 acres of vineyards creates a natural barrier that protects the grapes from the cold southerly breezes, increasing temperatures differences between days and nights. The winery, built into the hillside, is an incredible modern construction with a vineyard on the roof. At the wine shop it is possible to find different vintages of Loma Larga wines and enjoy tastings, tours and other wine tourism activities.

Matetic Vineyards is a family-owned boutique vineyard located in the San Antonio valley. Its world renowned wines are produced under a biodynamic philosophy, with 100% organic grapes, grown on its beautiful Rosario estate. Miguel Torres Chile was founded in 1979 by the Torres family of Spain who has produced wine in Spain for over 140 years and has been owners of vineyards for 300 years. Miguel Torres was the first foreign winery to establish itself in Chile.

The Torres family chose Chile as an ideal location for the practice of winemaking owing to the excellent conditions for the development of wine industry. The Miguel Torres Chile winery encompasses more than 350 hectares of vineyards planted in five different properties each with unique climatic characteristics. This enables the winery to cultivate distinct varieties and to allow their intense expressions to develop.

Miguel Torres is recognized for introducing new technologies like stainless steel fermentation and oak barrel ageing

in French casks to Chile which has contributed to the growth of Chilean wines over the past 30 years. A family business with a presence in more than 100 countries its trademarks stand for quality wine, respect for the environment and social responsibility.

As of 2010, Miguel Torres Chile is directed by Miguel Torres Maczassek, a fifth generation Torres winemaker.

Viña Perez Cruz, is located in the Alto Maipo Valley at the foot of the Andes. Noted for his excellent soils and have all the production and bottling in origin. The farm was purchased in 1963 by Pablo Perez Zañartu and vineyard project begins in 1994, with the first plantings. It s in 2002 first wines vinified with the brand Perez Cruz.

Viña Tarapacá was established in 1874, in the foothills of the Cordillera de los Andes, creating wines reflecting a century-long tradition and contemporary elegance.

Located in Maipo Valley, it benefits from a unique ecosystem allowing them to produce Premium Wines.

Their wines are faith fully representative of New World wineries, providing excellent quality and consistence in each bottle produced.

Since 1996, Tipaume is one of the first organic and biodynamic wineries established in Chile. In an small estate just at the footsteps of the Andes mountains, in the Cachapoal Valley, the French agronomist Yves Pouzet developed this family project, a lifetime dream. His masterpieces were called Tipaume and Grez, while the first is fermented in Oak barrels, the second one does it in clay amphoras. The purpose of both wines is producing great wines but not forgetting the natural essence of their terroir.

Tipaume means in its native language “place where the water flows”, and it’s a little river that borders our estate near the city of Rengo, in the 6th region. Our wine made in amphoras “Grez” comes from one of our family last name. Tipaume & Grez are made from the blending of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Merlot, Lacryma Christi and Viognier.

Don Francisco Undurraga was one of the pioneers of wine making in Chile, and created the Viña Undurraga in 1885. With plants brought back from France and Germany, and under the supervision of the well known M. Pressac, a French viticultor, he developed the first vineyards in Santa Ana, Valley de Maipo. Today, with more than 125 years of tradition, Undurraga is present in more than 70 countries.

The winery was built in 1999, deep within Casablanca Valley, and is architecturally reminiscent of old Chilean missions of the southwest American Indian pueblo.

The winery’s capacity of 2.4 million liters is provided by 98 stainless steel tanks allowing them to fulfill their mission: producing the finest possible wines using modern technology and meticulous attention to every processing detail.
