When you’ve hit the budget, done the deal, survived the conference and are looking for some tip-top entertainment, it is absolutely right to mark the occasion with a professional, impressive and, most of all, fantastically fUn event.The Jascots Wine Championship is the stuff of legend, unforgett able to all those who take part. A unique, witt y and occasionally irreverent look at the art of Wine Tasti ng, “The Championship” can be competi ti ve, is oft en boisterous and always joyously inclusive. It is the perfect anti dote to stuff y and boring wine lectures and has always been enjoyed equally by wine enthusiasts and total beginners.

HOW DOES IT WORK? The evening starts with a glass of bubbles and moves rapidly into a hilarious, exciti ng and informati ve fi ne wine tasti ng. “Players” are divided into teams ready to take on a selecti on of six to eight fantasti c wines whose identi ti es have been carefully concealed.*

Prompted by a multi ple choice questi on sheet, complete with pitf alls and booby traps, teams will face fi ve questi ons on each wine. Jascots’ expert staff will be on hand at all ti mes with a hint, a ti p or a total red herring depending on the state of the game. Joker cards are played, red and yellow cards are waved and there’s inevitable cheati ng, blackmail, skullduggery and forfeits galore.

Frequent “totti ngs up” of each team’s points build the excitement and fi nally, amid feverish tension, “To the victor the spoils”! Prizes are awarded and to make quite sure the evening conti nues to fl ow and the atmosphere remains enti rely convivial, we draw the cork on some impressively large bott les of wine, Imperials (6L) or Double Magnums (3L).

THE PRIZESPrizes for each member of the winning teams (fi rst and second places) are most oft en a delicious magnum or bott le of wine in a smart presentati on box.* Last but not least the infamous Jascots Wooden Spoon awaits the team with the fewest points.

VENUESWe have staged The Jascots Wine Championship everywhere from the 30th fl oor of the Gherkin to a back garden marquee; we’ve even been abroad to entertain friends and clients.
