Day 1

Departure to Douro Valley in the early

afternoon. Near the small city of Peso da

Rgua you will reach your first stop and hotel,

one of the most renowned wineries in Douro,

Quinta do Vallado.

After check-in you will go in a walk in thevineyards of Quinta do Vallado and discover

all the secrets under this top 100 worldwide

winery. You will have a special tasting of

their reds, whites and Ports, including the

Vallado Touriga Nacional, the 7th best wine

in the world by Wine Spectator in 2011.

You will end the day in a beautiful dinner,

enjoying a special wine & gastronomic

Day 2


In the morning a breakfast will be served at Quinta do Vallado so you

can enjoy once more its amazing location. After you will start your day

with a visit to the Douro Museum in order to learn more about the first

demarcated and regulated wine region in the world. Following, to this

insightful visit learn about the unique fauna and flora in Douro Valley

while you enjoy a cruise in Rabelo Boat the typical embarkation of

Douro admiring the unique views of Douro Landscapes. Finally arrive

and disembark at the DOC Restaurant in Folgosa. The lunch , a fusion of

modern and classic gastronomy by chef Rui Paulo will at least meet your

expectations and again taste Douros wonderful wines.

In the afternoon we reach Quinta Vale D. Maria, the winery of famous

winemaker Cristiano Van Zeller, to discover a Douro estate that

produces the highest Parker rated wines in Portugal.

By the end of the day, we will return to Oporto where we will arriveafter 2 hours app.

Check-in at the Yeatman Hotel and rest and enjoy a magnifique view

over Porto, its bridges, and the Douro river. After you will enjoy a dinner

prepared by Chef Ricardo at the hotel restaurant, recently awarded 1

Michelin star. This Hotel is part of Relais & Chateaux and considered

Day 3

Start the day with the amazing view from your room to Porto and the

Douro. Enjoy a nice breakfast and go out discover Porto. Enjoy a visit by

bus and walking to discover downtown Porto, the emblematic stock

Exchange Palace, Palacio da Bolsa and the Cathedral S. Jos, from

where you have a wonderful view over the historical downtown area

Ribeira, declared world Unesco heritage.

Before lunch enjoy a visit and wine tasting at Calem Winery, one of the

oldest and most famous. Learn about the different types of Port wine

and how they are made, by hearing and also tasting. Lunch will be

served at the D. Tonho Restaurant. Enjoy Portos gastronomy and the

nice view over the Ribeira area , from the other side of the river.

Free afternoon.

Before dinner, we will stop in Serra do Pilar viewpoint from where we

will have an amazing overview of the city.

Evening free.

Next morning free and return flight.

Day 2

In the morning continue further south to the beautiful Monsaraz region.

This is a Picture book white washed village where it is worth to take a

walk and enjoy stunning views over Alentejo plains and the great lake

of Alqueva. Before lunch you will reach the near by Reguengos de

Monsaraz and Herdade do Esporo, one of the most famous wine

producing companies and part of the World Wine Route. The winery is

internationally know for its excellent wines and olive oil productions

and for the gastronomy of its restaurant. Last but not least for the

arqueologichal site being part of the property and which is destination

to many arqueologists from everywhere in the world.

After a visit to the winery its vineyards and the wine production enjoy a

food & wine matching lunch where you will be able to taste some of the

delicious Wines of Herdade do Esporo.

At the end of the afternoon you travel back to Lisbon and you willcheck-in at Hotel Lisboa Plaza, a nice 4 star hotel with a very

convenient location, in Lisbons city center. From here you can reach

downtown Lisbon on foot.

Day 3

In the morning our visit leads us to the origins of Lisbon: walking andwith the public tram we will go up to the cathedral S. Jos in order toclimb the last 300 meters up to the castle hill to reach one of LisbonsEx Libris, the Castelo S. Jorge. A must when in Lisbon for its breath

taking views with the city and the Tagus with its ships up to thehorizon.After a moment of relax walk down through picturesque Alfama, the

oldest area of Lisbon to take the bus and discover all the essential ofthe portuguese capital in Belem, an area situated west of the townwhich will tell you all the histories of Portuguese discoveries back in the15th centuries, when Portugal was one of the richest nations in the

world.For lunch we will go to the DOCAS Area, near the riverside Restaurante5 Oceanos, a specialist in fresh seafood and fish dishes, with abeautiful view over the Tagus river.The afternoon is free.

In the evening transfer to the Bairro Alto where you will enjoy a typicalportuguese aperitif at the picturesque bar Pavilho Chines followed bydinner at the Restaurant Lisboa Noite, wellknown for its extensive

wine card that accompanies the tasty local specialities served here.Transfer back to the hotel.

Day 1

Arrival in Lisbon after lunch. After check-in at the

Lisbon Plaza Hotel you will be heading to Belm.

Visit the landmark of Jeronimos Monastery and Belm

Tower, right before tasting the unique flavours of

Pastis de Belm, a symbol of Portugals traditional

pastry.

Back to the hotel and some time to relax. Those whowish might stay in the center for some more time the

hotel can be reach easily on foot afterwards.

Dinner will be served in a unique restaurant, the

Chafariz do Vinho. This restaurant can be reached on

foot from the hotel and is situated in what was a

former well, the end of the aqueduct bringing water

to Lisbon. Today its mainly wine that flows in the welland over dinner that matches a tasty sequence of

Tapas with some of the nicest wines in town you will

enjoy exchanging your impressions of Lisbon.

Afterwards transfer back to the hotel.

Day 2

After breakfast, departure to Alentejo.

The trip will take us 2 hours to get to Reguengos de Monsaraz,

where we can find Herdade do Esporo, one of the first wineries of

Portugal part of the World wine route. Its wines are truly excellent

as well as the olive oil produced here. With the wine tourism area

recently refurbished the visit is a unique experience. We can

appreciate its vineyards and the archeological center, finishing witha lovely wine tastings of two quality wines of Esporo. Finally, enjoy

a wonderful lunch at Esporo Restaurant with an amazing view over

the endless seeming plains of the property.

After lunch continue on to Evora, the capital of Alentejo which was

considered World Heritage by UNESCO, where we will check-in and

have a rest at the Pousada de Lios, one of the nicest and ahistorical Pousadas, a chain of historical hotels in Portugal.

For dinner you will get to know one of the most emblematic places

in Evora , Fialho, well known throughout the country for its

excellent interpretations of Alentejo Cuisine.

Day 3

After breakfast, we are heading north and the best place to stop on

our way to Porto is near Santarem at the Lagoalva Winery. Here you

can learn about the breeding of the famous Lusitania horses and you

will visit of course the property and its wine productions. Finally you

will be offered a wine tasting and some light tapas lunch before you

continue to Porto.

Arrive in Porto at the end of the afternoon and Check in at Pousada

do Freixo. Time for leisure. In the evening cross the famous D. Luiz

bridge and reach Vila Nova de Gaia as the village on the other river

bank of Douro is called. Here you can find the most famous Port

wine brands having their cellars and you will visit one of the nicest,

the Porto Calem Winery. During a visit learn all about the different

types and tastes of port wine and also about its production. Fordinner just cross the street and step into D. Tonho Restaurant a

modern place with awesome cuisine, while you enjoy the most

wonderful views over the historical downtown area of Porto. Back to

the hotel.

Day 4

After breakfast, we will continue our journey in the winelands of

Douro. After approximately 2 hours we shall arrive at Quinta do Vale

Dona Maria, home of the highest rated Parker dry wines in Portugal.

Visit to the winery, wine tasting. For lunch DOC Restaurant will

welcome you. Chef Rui Paula has created here one of the best spots

to savour regional Douro cuisine, presented in a new contemporary

style.

After lunch continue on to another renowned winery and wine hotel

in Douro: Quinta do Vallado, situated high above the city of Regua,

check-in and freetime.

Dinner will take place at Quinta do Vallado but before dinner we

shall visit the old and the new wineries and we will end with a wine

tasting of some of the Quintas best wines.

Day 5

After breakfast and check out, you will visit Quinta do Crasto, where

true passion has been put in the historical wine production, which

has leaded to international awards. You will walk through these

vineyards and you will be stroked by the wonderful views over the

Douro you can appreciate from the wine terraces of Quinta do

Crasto, indeed some of the best views in Douro. Finally, we will have

a wine tasting along with gastronomic tasting.

In the afternoon back to Oporto on a beautiful train trip, where you

will arrive after 2 hours. Transfer to the renowned Relais &

Chateaux property, the Yeatman Hotel. This hotel which names itself

the hotel of Portuguese food and wine will honour its name by

presenting a perfect food and wine matching dinner for this last

evening.With a glass of port in hand, enjoy the flavours of Portugal in a great

ambience and with one of the most beautiful views in the world -
