An Invitation to Prayer

By Mary John Zore

To go for a walk on the wind

you need

Feather slippers

That close with Zippers

and

Rise to your kneses

And remember please !

Wind walking

Calls for no talking

Just quiet thinking…

And listening

To go for a walk on the wind

you need

Feather slippers

That close with

Think of…...

Street Light flowers

In night time hours

Glowing with light

Silvery and

W

hite——-

And beggar men With eyes like empty cups

And Hands that Rise to their hearts

They know that

Wind Walking—

The Time of no-talking,

Is a time for

Meeting Kings and

Finding things

Previously

Unknown

I wish I was

as wise

As Beggar

Man’s eyes

Wind

Walking-

A quiet time

Filled with

the sense

OF Littleness

And God

So take my hand

My Friend and

Let’s Go—

For A Walk in the

Wind
