About Myself • I'm Durga charan ojha, Serving as System

What is an Operating System• An Operating system is a software that
manages computer hardware and software resources and provides services for computer programs.
History of Operating System
N.B. Vista was released in the year 2007
Latest Operating System• Windows 10 is the latest release of Microsoft's
Windows operating system and the successor to the underwhelming Windows 8 (and Windows 8.1).
• This new Microsoft operating system promises to iron out all the flaws that made user abominate Windows 8.
Cost and Upgradation• Windows 10 will be free upgrade for Windows
7, Windows 8.1 and Windows phone 8.1 devices for its first year since released.

Return of Start Menu• Yes…it's back . our traditional start menu with Live
Tiles.• The Start menu returns in Windows 10, offering
convenient access to apps and settings.• Windows 10 is coming with Universal Search in Start
Menu. The Search tool at the bottom of the Start menu now not only searches your programs and files, but also looks up related results on the Internet.
One Window for all devices• Windows 10 is meant to unify desktop PCs,
Windows tablets and Windows smartphones with one interface, one way of operating and one account.
• Microsoft is using Windows 10 to attempt to unify its various software platforms across different devices under one Windows brand.
Cortana• Windows 10 brings Microsoft’s voice-controlled
digital assistant Cortana, to make it easier for you to interact with your device without lifting a finger.
• We will be able to search your hard drive for specific folders and files.
• Cortana is also able to send emails while you’re working on a spreadsheet, making multi-tasking much easier.
Project Spartan Browser• New features include PDF support, a reading
mode that improves the layout of long articles, and a new note taking feature.
• Project Spartan lets you scribble on any page and share your comments with your friends through social networks.
Improved Multitasking (Multiple Desktops)• Windows 10 Virtual Desktops, instead of having multiple
windows open on top of each other on one desktop, you can set up a whole other virtual desktop for those programs to reside in.
• Create desktops for different purposes and projects and switch between these desktops easily and pick up where you left off on each desktop.
Xbox App• The new operating system support Xbox game
streaming, with improved speed and graphics performance by DirectX 12 support.
• The app also lets you to record, edit and share your activities in the game.
• You’ll also be able to join your friends and see your friends’ activity via Xbox..
Improved Command Prompt• Windows 10 are coming with a Better Command Prompt
with Ctrl and Shift key shortcuts. These add features like Ctrl+V to paste, Shift to select text, and transparency to make your Command Prompt look better
• Copy and Paste and Ctrl/Shift cursor based character selection now available. the most obvious benefit of this is that you can copy and paste complicated command instructions from the web straight into the prompt
Action Centre• A new notification center helps you keep track
of what people and apps sent you notifications.
Continuum• Continuum handles transitions between interface modes on
convertible laptops and tablets with docking keyboards
• Continuum Mode:- On 2 in 1 devices, Windows 10 will move easily between keyboard/mouse and touch/tablet as it detects the transition and conveniently switches to the new mode.
• If you remove the keyboard/mouse, a notification will pop up from the task bar at the bottom, asking if you want to activate Tablet mode and you’ll receive the same prompt, this time asking if you want to exit Tablet mode .
