windmark beach, florida
DESCRIPTION
WindMark Beach is a 2,020 acre site overlooking the St. Joseph Bay Aquatic Preserve on the Gulf of Mexico. Its 4-mile waterfront is one of the longest undeveloped beaches in the region. A ‘light-on-the-land’ approach was achieved by introducing top-down construction, building homes and boardwalks on raised pilings and applying advanced techniques in water detention. Planned amenities include an 18-hole golf course, two beach clubs, four pool clubs, a tennis club and two fishing piers anchoring each end of the site. In 2008, WindMark Beach Received an "Award Of Excellence" from the Florida Chapter Of The American Society Of Landscape Architects (Flasla) . The local paper, The Star of Port St. Joe, published the "History Leads to WindMark Beach".TRANSCRIPT
