WIND ENERGY
Method Of Renewable Energy Production
Introduction
Wind energy is an indirect way of obtaining solar energy , since the winds are generated by the uneven heating of the Earth's surface by the sun. Wind energy is the energy of motion (kinetic) of air currents circulating in the atmosphere.
The Winds
Sunlight warms the Earth *different angles of incidence
Temperatures and pressure generate winds . * Cold fronts / warm fronts High-pressure areas to low pressure areas .
Ecuador and Tropics warmer than the poles .
The Winds
The Winds
Advantages
Clean energy; Low maintenance cost; Near the consumption sites (avoids
transmission losses); Average length of turbine 20 years; Easy removal ; Abundant and inexhaustible .
Disadvantages
Interference in ecosystems (death of bats, interference on the migration routes of birds) ;
Noise caused by the blades ; Magnetic interference in telecommunications
; Erosion on land .
How it works?
The wind turns a giant propeller connected to a generator that produces electricity.
Conclusion
Wind energy fits perfectly into the current demand for it is clean, renewable and does not cause major effects on the environment. Therefore, there must be investment in the countries, many, like Brazil, have great potential and do not use it, because just investing in no environmentally friendly sources.
