    WILL NEIBERGALL

OBJECTIVE The various interests that have been fostered by my high

school experience have created within me a passion for

interdisciplinary studies. Advanced English courses have

taught me the necessary rules and structure for using my

native language while speech and debate has convinced me of

the importance of using that language for expressive,

communicative purposes; AP math and science classes have

illuminated me to the symmetry and order of the naturalworld while social studies classes have reminded me of the

importance of human structures in shaping it. The right path

for me is an extensive liberal arts education (with an

emphasis on philosophy) that ends not with a degree but

with a lifelong dedication to spreading my knowledge to

others through speaking, writing and teaching.

SKILLS & ABILITIES Research: my experience as a nationally qualifyingdebater and research assignments in class have givenme a sophisticated aptitude with research tools

    including citation formatting, specialized Internet

searches, careful analysis of articles and use of library

    resources.

Technology: My engagement with new media art bothinside of school (such as in Graphic Arts 1-2) and

outside (with my music and performance art,

showcased at the Museum of Modern Art @ PS1) have

given me ample skill in using hardware and software

related to visual media and the Internet, including

basic code (HTML, CSS). Im alsofamiliar with using

graphical software to digitally represent and

    manipulate data.

Writing: Im an adept writer in multiple styles. I havebeen praised for my writing ability in both English

    classes (with national standards emphasizing

creativity and word choice) and social studies classes

(with standards emphasizing analytical clarity and

efficiency). Writing debate cases has taught me how to

use research synthesis and word economy in my

writing, and informal writing/journalism for Internetpublications (including DIS Magazine, Vice Magazine,

Alt Crit and a personal blog) have conditioned me to

the requirements of writing for a wide audience.
