Page 3: William shakespeare

He was baptized on April 26, 1564 (that’s almost 450 years ago)

In 1582 – when he was 18 years old – he married Anne Hathaway (she was 26 at the time)

Not this one

About four years after he married he moved to London in an attempt to make his fortune

By this time, there was already an established community of playwrights in London, and by 1595 Shakespeare was well-known enough to be one of them

He was part of the acting company named Lord Chamberlain’s Men (all actors were men back then – even for the female roles)

This particular company often performed for royalty and was later called the King’s Men

All’s well that ends well

Dead as a doornail

Fight fire with fire

Foul play

Good riddance

Green eyed monster

Vanish into thin air

Wild goose chase

I have not slept a wink

In a pickle

I wear my heart on my sleeve

Love is blind

Off with his head

Star crossed lovers

Up in arms

DID YOU KNOW? SHAKESPEARE COINED ALL OF THESE PHRASES

Too much of a good thing The game is up
