A new day begins with the sun rising over the Ohio river and the Olmsted Dam
Relay for life makes spicy hit . . . Chili contest makes for some spicy moments
while raising funds for the 2008 relay for life program. Chili cook off organizer, judge and first place win-ner Kim McReynolds was speechless upon
receiving the award for first place. Second place winner Khourie Hresko long time best friend of Kim had nothing to say. Once again long time favorite Tony Sandor with his hot & spicy mix was unable to make it to the medal platform.
Ice Storm Nightmares A severe ice storm caused major delays and absentees at the Olmsted Dam site. After warnings provided by
Meagan Bugle from the National Weath-er Service, employ-ees were given the green light by Tony Sandor to leave early on Monday morn-ing in an attempt to avoid driving during the worst part of the
storm. Employees living in areas north of the dam site appeared to be hit the hardest.
