An educator since 1970, she spent over 27 years as a
classroom science teacher. She spent nine years at the
Middle College High School at Southwest Tennessee
Community College and occasionally taught General
Biology at the college on an adjunct basis. Her district
level work includes curriculum development and science
specialist providing professional development and
technical assistance to teachers of science and
mathematics under the National Science Foundation-
funded Memphis Urban Systemic Program. During her
nine-year tenure at the California Department of
Education (CDE) she has served as an Education
Programs Consultant in several divisions. Prior to her
appointment as administrator of the Adult Education
Office, she served as administrator of the Educational
Options Office.

One Training in each CASAS Implementation and
Accountability is a Grant Deliverable
Due by June 30th – but recommended to be completed
by December 31.
Make sure new staff are trained immediately.
For agencies that have already met the Implementation
Training (Basic & Beyond) – they now can take these
courses to meet the requirement.
