AIM of PDHPE

The aim of the syllabus is to develop in each student the knowledge and understanding, skills and values and attitudes needed to lead a healthy, active and fulfilling lives. In doing so, the syllabus will form the basis for students to adopt a responsible and productive role in society.

Active lifestyle and physical education Growth and development – the body, identity

and human sexuality Interpersonal relationships – families and

peers, communication and relationships Personal healthy choices – nutrition, drug

Teaching and learning PDHPE in primary schools is a great place for this to come into everyday practice.
