Curriculum Our elementary curriculum contains a healthy combination of research-based educational practices and hands-on activities. Teachers have the flexibility to integrate developmentally appropriate activities throughout their curriculum. Educational objectives by grade level are accessible on our website.

Uniforms Pre-K through fifth grade students are required to wear uniforms
daily. Uniforms are purchased online through School Outfitters by
Lands’ End at https://goo.gl/Di1tTv.
Lunch and Snacks A catered lunch will be available from Sami’s Cafeteria for Kindergarten-5th grade children on full school days if parents do not wish to provide a lunch from home. Lunches are ordered online one week in advance, and are delivered to the school. The caterer provides the menu monthly via the lunch portal. All elementary classrooms also have a daily mid-morning snack. Students are encouraged to bring a healthy snack from home, or may purchase one from the front office for $1.
Extended Care and Fees Extended care is available for Southminster School students both before and after school for an additional fee.
7 am-6 pm.
Registration Fee: $40 per child (Includes access card); $50 per family.
Extended care charge: $7 per hour (billed monthly in 15 minute increments)
Late pick-up fee: $1 per minute
Lost or Extra cards: $15 each
After School Activities
Various after school activities are offered at an extra cost by individual vendors using the school facilities. Information regarding these classes or clubs is available upon request in the front office. The classes include, but are not limited to:

Founded in 1990, Southminster School serves children from two years old through fifth grade in a loving and nurturing, Christian environment. A low student/teacher ratio, exceptional and experienced teaching staff, and multi-sensory activities promote a challenging curriculum, exemplifying excellence. Admissions Requirements Application Form: An official application must be completed and submitted
with the appropriate non-refundable registration fee in the form of cash or money order. Parents must also submit copies of the original birth certificate, Social Security card, Health Assessment, Physician Statement and current immunization record. All students must be immunized against vaccine-preventable diseases in accordance with the immunization schedule adopted by the Texas Department of State Health Services. A student who fails to obtain this evidence shall not be accepted for enrollment unless the student has a medical exemption signed by a licensed physician (M.D. or D.O.) authorized to practice in the State of Texas. Conscious exemptions are not accepted.

Pre-Kindergarten-2nd Grade- $150 3rd – 5th Grade Testing Fee - $50
o Supply & Materials Fees: Pre-Kindergarten- $450 Bridge- $550 Kindergarten-5th Grade- $600
Transcripts: Copies of report cards and test scores must be submitted for incoming 1st-5th Graders.
Teacher Recommendation Form: A confidential recommendation from previous school attended must be submitted for incoming 1st-5th Graders.
Notification of Status: Notification of class placement will be sent along with a family contract, which will list all information needed to secure the student’s placement.
