Bacteria grow old and then
divide, not die
Bacteria are said to be biologically immortal
But human cell loses division ability after 50-60
round
Telo

Telomere protects end of chromosome and stop it from merging with its
neighbor
So, length of telomere gets little shorter after every
division
Our body cell can’t produce
telomerase enzyme to restore telomere length after every
division
But why our cells have to die?
Our cell is chemical plant where many reaction happening every moment.
Sometimes harmful substance, free radicals get produced as byproduct
Give us
electrons!Free radical reacts with
many important chemicals to get electrons and turn them into useless substances.
Antioxidant can neutralize free radicals by giving them electrons
Nerves, most of muscles can’t divide, so maintaining those is
hard stuff
Lysosome digests debris inside cell to maintain health of
cell
But indigestible debris get accumulated in lysosome and it becomes useless and cell dies
Nothing can make you immortal, so live
the time you have
