Why did I setup my portfolio like this?

I chose a hotel or inn template to model my portfolio because it directly reflects my love to travel; as seen above, I have been to many places around the world. I related traveling to how I have progressed through the semester of UWRT 1101 with Ms. Blandford. Traveling is like progressing; you are at one place or location at a time while eventually progressing or traveling to another. Also, traveling involves exploring. You have to explore who you are and where you are in order to get the full effect of your surroundings or where you are throughout the class. I felt like the theme of traveling was a good representation of displaying my works in a creative and personal way.Food for thought while reviewing my portfolio: The Inn is the basis of the portfolio or the website, it is template of the site. Therefore, I made The Inn tab house the most important paper which is the foundation of my literacy identity. The Rooms are places that reflect the Inn. In this tab I have my reading responses as the rooms. If you click the Reflection and More! tab it will show you the images and my reflections of them itself and why I chose to include them. Locations are the different places you travel and progress through. I chose to put my Daybook entries under this tab because they demonstrate what you are thinking and where you are (the different locations) throughout the semester. Exploring (Explore) is very important while you are traveling. You have to explore in order to gain a sense of where you are. My Writings to Explore show my improvement and how my writing skills have expanded throughout the semester. Contact Me or a contact page is something that most websites have in order to ask questions for things you are unsure and need help with. Therefore, Ms. Blandford and Is e-mail exchanges are there to display that I ask for help among other questions to improve my essays. Many things are connected throughout the site. For example the title Traveling Along with Kayla Bossart and what I say in the About Me tab.
