CAHSEE Opportunities

• One opportunity to pass in 10th grade• Two opportunities in 11th grade• Five opportunities to take in 12th grade

(remember that May test scores may not come back in time for Graduation)

You will take the test over 2 days in March.• The English exam will be on Tuesday, March

17.• The math exam will be on Wednesday, March

Let’s Talk Numbers

Our goal/ expectation is that students will score proficient on CAHSEE—that means you meet the FEDERAL requirements

• Proficient score is 380 (perfect score is 450) on both math and English

• On English test, that’s a 77% (only 14 questions above passing or 61%)

• On math test, that’s a 73% (only 15 questions above passing or 54%)

How to Prepare

• Do well in your classes, especially English and math• Thursdays in Advisory- CAHSEE prep• Go to Library –ask for a FREE study guide—both for

English and math• Go online –www.cde.ca.gov (see testing and

CAHSEE) study guides also available here
