TRANSCRIPT
Why attend?
The Governance Symposium will:
1. Provide an opportunity for those in governance
and leadership of a Catholic ministry to explore
the nature and contemporary context of their
roles.
2. Examine the relationship of governance and
leadership roles to the mission of the Church.
3. Examine the exercise of fiduciary responsibilities
in the context of emerging trends and challenges
in delivery of human services.
4. Enhance appreciation of and access to
opportunities for effective collaboration.
Who should attend?
Those holding governance and leadership positions in
Catholic ministries of health, aged care, education and
social services.
Program
The Symposium will provide the opportunity to hear
from experts in the field of Catholic ministry and
governance.
Using a highly interactive approach, it will focus on
key themes and issues of concern to those in
Catholic governance roles.
The Symposium will be facilitated by Kerry Brettell,
Director of Integroe Partners, and is designed to
maximise interaction and collaboration among
participants. You will have the opportunity to
engage actively in dialogue with your
contemporaries in a process enabling new
awareness and emerging solutions to shared
challenges.
Trustees, board directors, and senior executive staff of Catholic health, aged care and human service organisations are the guardians and stewards of the healing ministry of Jesus.
Catholic Health Australia is pleased to invite you to an important gathering to help progress the manner in which Catholic organisations are governed now and into the future.
The mandate of Catholic Health Australia’s Pathways initiative is to facilitate a collaborative approach to
formation among CHA members.
