This is the Web 2.0 Tool we will be using to share are reflections on the books we read each month. This is

our “Memory Keeper’s Daughter” page.

When you click on the hyperlink which is http://whsknightsbc.ed.voicethread.com/#home you will

see this screen.

Click on the MyVoice tab at the top left side of the screen to open the Wheaton Book Club page.

Once you click on the MyVoice tab you will see the sign in for VoiceThread. Please

type in your e-mail address and password. You can get this information from Ms.

Brown.

Once you log in you will see this screen. Double click the Wheaton Knights page to

open it.

Now you will be in the page and you can read my comment by

double clicking my picture.

Once you are on Voice Thread you just double click the icon of an Avatar and

see what that member shared.

You can move from one comment to another by clicking on the arrow at the

bottom right of the page.

Click on each Avatar or picture to read as many comments as you

desire.

Once you have read Ms. Brown’s comments and others, it is time to add your avatar and

add your comments. To do this click the icon on the bottom left of the screen.

Click on the create another identity button. You may or may not have

an icon in this box that you created.

You will see this screen. Click on the edit button in the top box on the left of the screen

to add the picture of your avatar.

At this screen you can add or edit your avatar name and add your avatar’s

picture to your account.

At this screen click on the select an image button to add your picture.

When you click on the select an image button your My Documents folder will open. Navigate and open the file

with your avatar in it. Click the avatar and then click open and your avatar will be loaded on your page.

Type in the name of your avatar and click save.

Now that you have added your identity click on done.

Click on the yellow X to close out. Now you can add your comments.

Click on comment at the bottom center of the page.

Click on A type to type in your comment.

A text box opens. Start typing.

Click save to save your comment.

Information on comments

• Please share your ideas using appropriate language

• All comments will first be seen by Ms. Brown and then released so all members can read and add additional comments.

• It is okay to disagree with a fellow member, but don’t be rude or take comments personally.
