As of April 2017, the Whole of Syria Protection sector, including Child Protection, GBV and Mine Action, has provided over 1,847,583 protection interventions across Syria, 100% increase over last month. 998,389 of those were reported in April 2017. This analysis provides a snapshot of the protection sector response as a whole, including information on geographical coverage and progress against 2017 HRP targets based on 4W reporting. As of April 2017, the Whole of Syria Protection sector, including Child Protection, GBV and Mine Action, has provided over 1,847,583 protection interventions across Syria, 100% increase over last month.

During April 2017, at least 684,743 people received a minimum of one

intervention. This includes 254,071 in Rural Damascus, 109,274 in

Tartous and 88,896 in Idleb governorates. The sector has reached at least

793,291 persons with at least one protection intervention this year. The

number of persons reached with at least one intervention certainly under-

reports the total number of persons receiving protection interventions.
