Who would be the audience for your media product?

The Target audience for my music magazine is 16-20 years olds this is because they are mature enough to enjoy my magazine and they also have a lot of time on there hands as they properly don't work full time. Also the magazine is suited to the this target audience as there is interest from this age! The audience for the magazine would obviously be music fans but could also be general readers who wants to find out more about the rock genre. From my research I found out that about 83% of people reading the magazine would be in full time education.

A Lot of people from my audience would read social media and would listen to music through social media rather than buying it or watching it on tv (as shown by questionnaire). My target audiences main hobbies would be listening and creating music and especially going to gigs and concerts. Although my audience do like rock a lot of them do also like other genres and sometimes they will overcross into my magazine.

As the teenagers would have had a stressful day at work or at school my magazine would be used in a way which would make people feel relaxed after a stressful day at school.

Rock music is a great genre which appeals to many people across the world and appeals to females and males especially at this young age this could be because music is a way for teenagers/ young adults to escape their stress and make them feel relaxed. I think that rock music has a positive impact on young adults and teenagers and this is why they will come and buy this magazine which is meant to be positive!
