The reason I believe the audience would mostly be a female is because the majority of people who attend the cinema to watch films is females with 51% according to Deans study.Also, I choose the age of a adolescent because not only does my film represent this particular social group. Age 16-25 are the second most likely to go the cinema.

This female is most likely to watch my type of horror film as her film preference is within the same genre as my media product

The reason I believe this is the second most likely average member of the audience is because my media products main character is very similar to this audience profile. As my media product goes against the horror conventions as it doesn’t use the conventional blond damsel in distress. This would attract a new type of audience as its more relatable for them to be interested in.
