What am I doing?Choose a write, philosopher, poet, artist, musician,

politician, athlete, or actor who has inspired you. Create a portrait using line and text. Use their words, lyrics, or other’s words about the person to enhance the portrait.

The Steps1. Research a famous person that interests

you. Make sure you choose someone that will have enough info about them (not a new and budding artist).

2. Write down info that you want to include in your artwork about that person and their accomplishments. Include quotes and lyrics.

3. Search for pictures and text of and about your subject. You will be given two pages in which you can print on in the library. Other printing should be done at home.

4. Plan out your composition. You will be using Sharpie markers-think high contrast-no shading.

5. Use a border around you page6. Think about if you would like to use vertical or horizontal orientation.7.Use extreme care with lettering and craftsmanship.8 Give credit for quotes if known.9. As always, write your name on the back.
