THE COMPANY HISTORY
The initial capital – 2000 USD plus experience in developing and popularizing famous international brand in tourism and event industry to Georgian market. The company served over 92 000 clients while operating in first four years.
Calypso got awarded by the Embassy of USA in nomination of “Active Chief in Tourism and Event Industry” in International Visitor Leadership Program of the US Department of State.As a result, the recognition of boundless love for one's country.
Calypso began launching drawing up offers in MICE tourism industry for high profile clients and organizing their promotion abroad actively.
Calypso organized official events attended by high officials of the state, including turnkey international conferences, festivals, greater tourist exhibitions ordered by Batumi Mayor.
Calypso has become a reliable partner for leading MICE players in tourism industry from Ukraine and Russia to Georgia.

We are the only company in tourism field
in MICE Georgia, which in the shortest time built
84m long bridge across the River Mtkvari in 2011,
and arranged a test-drive on the ship board in 2014.
We built a construction for 3D-mapping presentation, “taught” 145 people to sing, dance, and cook Georgian. We organized a team building “Strength in Unity” to build a bridge across the river.
We provided technical support on a conference, arranged a ship, built “roller coaster” and locked the central part of the Batumi Sea Port for test-drive on the ship in frames of the project “Path to the Peaks”.

We are the first company in tourism industry in MICE Georgia, which organizes the engagement trip “Gold of Fortress” based on the famous TV show “Fort Boyard”. The game was ordered by Russian and Ukrainian event companies for DONSTROY, ASUS and OMK.
The game “Gold of Fortress” is the intellectual property of Calypso Travel & Event under the legislation of Georgia.
According to the legend, the Fortress walls hide huge treasure once belonged to merchants who lived nearby the citadel.
The heritage of unbelievable political, economic and cultural prosperity of the 11th century AD is called nothing else but the “Gold of Fortress”.
And, only the noblest person is able to obtain the trunk key!

In March 2018, we became partners of ABT-ACTE Russia (Business Tourism Association of Russia) –
one of the greatest international organizations among business tourism throughout Russia and CIS.
In December 2018 became winners in the nomination "Best MICE tourism" in the framework
of the national award “Welcome to Georgia”
Since 2017, Calypso Travel & Event has been a member of Convention and Exhibition
Bureau of Georgia (GCEB), under the Georgian national Tourism Administration,
which is a part of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
In October 2017, we won virtual tender at International MICE Geography Show. The tender was
on the “Best video concept on organizing teambuilding event” for a big client aiming to deliver
actual marketing concept on promoting a new goods by sales department staff.
