Whitetail Woods Regional Park

Welcome to Whitetail Woods Regional Park, a 456-acre oasis in the heart of Dakota County. Miles of scenic trails meander through this spectacular park to showcase Empire Lake and the rolling hills, century-old oaks and pristine wetlands that surround it.

Whitetail Woods Regional Park is part of the Dakota County Park System.

Admission and parking are free.

Park features

• Camper Cabins (open year round)

• Large capacity picnic shelter

• 10+ miles of nature trails for hiking

• Fawn Crossing Nature Play Area

• Trail connection to UMORE Park and the Lone Rock Trail

So everyone can enjoy the park...

• Use trails for their intended purpose.• Leashed pets are welcome. Please put pet

waste in the garbage.

In case of emergency

Emergency Location Markers (ELMs) provide Global Positioning System (GPS) compatible locations to help emergency responders find you. In case of emergency, call 911 and provide the ELM information on the nearest trail marker.
