The 4-way rack from MBP is the ultimate bench top storage system combining four great racks in one! Designed to support a variety of tube sizes and styles, each rack can be rotated to any of the four sides to support different size centrifuge tubes. Constructed of rugged polypropylene, these racks are autoclavable, may be placed in the freezer, or used in waterbaths. Regardless of the support position used, the format is small enough to be conveniently used under the hood or on the benchtop.

Porvair standard centrifuge tubes are available in 15ml and 50ml sizes. The thin clear polypropylene walls can withstand centrifugal forces of 8000xG and 12000xG respectively.

Porvair self-standing centrifuge tubes are supplied in 50ml size. The skirted conical bottom allows the tube to stand on a bench and can withstand 6000xG.

Syringe FiltersSyringe/vacuum-driven filters are an essential way to purify cell culture media and supplements. Porvair offers these with three popular membranes:

Polyethersulfone (PES) has a low affinity for proteins and extractables; suitable for pre-filtration and filtration of buffers and culture media.

Mixed Cellulose Ester (MCE) is ideal for filtration of aqueous solutions; effectively binds trace proteins.

Nylon provides a broad range of chemical compatibility for the filtra-tion of either aqueous or organic solvents. It is hydrophobic and can be used in a broad pH range.

The standard for cryogenic storage, MBP’s 81-well rack is designed to work with all 0.5, 1.5 and 2.0ml cryovials. This 9x9 matrix rack is designed to replace the cardboard freezer storage boxes. The storage rack holds up to 81 tubes and comes complete with a clear polypropylene lid and large, easy to read alphanumeric labels.

Sterilin cryogenic vials are suitable for the cryogenic storage of biological material, human or animal cells, and perform well both in low temperature freezers and the gas phase of liquid nitrogen.
