PLAN YOUR NIGHTWe expect a crowd to come out and enjoy White Night Melbourne. As the event runs for 12 hours, think about when to go.

One of the easiest ways to plan your night is to create a My Night Account on the White Night Melbourne website, where you can save your favourite projects and invite others to attend. Some works will accommodate large audiences, with other programme elements having smaller capacities or the possibility of some wait times. So if an area or venue looks too busy, walk another block to discover a new experience.

There are many ways to enjoy a White Night, from joining others in exploring the streets to quiet moments of reflection by the Yarra or in some of the special exhibitions and performances. If you plan on spending a few hours at White Night Melbourne, consider booking a restaurant for dinner, or taking a rest break.

TRAFFIC ROAD CLOSURESThe majority of road closures will take place from 6pm on Saturday 22 February through to 8am on Sunday 23 February. Roads affected include Swanston St / St Kilda Rd, Flinders St, Collins St, Bourke St, Lonsdale St, Latrobe St and Franklin St. Visit the White Night Melbourne website for more details.

DINING OPTIONSA number of city and Southgate restaurants, cafes and food courts will be opening from 7pm – 7am along with special Food Stops. You can visit the website for a full listing, with options including:

For a cool drink in the heart of the city, stop by R&R on Collins, brought to you by Bank of Melbourne.

Free drinking water is available at locations marked on the event map. It is recommended that you bring and refill your own water bottle, especially in the case of hot weather.
