PRELIMINARY SAT TEST IT IS A PRACTICE SAT GIVEN BY THE

ABOUT CRITICAL READING, MATH, WRITING GIVEN ONCE A YEAR IN OCTOBER STATE OF GEORGIA PAYS FOR ALL 10TH GRADERS

Articulation

• Any student in grades 9-12 at a high school that has an articulation agreement with a local college can participate. – No college admission required before graduation– Courses within articulation agreements are eligible– Take classes on high school campus– Credit awarded at the college level is contingent upon

passing the college’s qualifying exam– No cost– HOPE limits are not affected

Joint Enrollment

• Joint enrollment is NOT a dual enrollment program– Must apply and be accepted to the college– Part-time status is required at the college– Student can take ANY course that the college offers– Credit is ONLY earned at the college and not

transferred back to the high school– Can be paid for by the HOPE grant/scholarship or by

the student/parents– Courses taken and paid for by HOPE

grant/scholarship do count towards HOPE hours

institution • Meet requirements set by WCHS• Complete and submit the state Accel application• Be in good standing as a student • Maturity is an important factor to consider• Take only courses from the approved list• Meet with counselor to schedule courses and

receive advisement
