Gary Holland, James McCafferty, Joseph Nanni: Appointed by the commissioners as a requirement of the charter.

Responsible for “developing recommendations for the orderly and efficient transition to the operation of the county government.”

Over 1000 citizen volunteers signed on to develop the recommendations, so that the people of Cuyahoga County are directly and actively engaged in the positive-change process.

Guide/lead the process to achieve transformational realignment and realize efficiencies in county government Ensure inclusion of entire community in transition process

1000+ volunteers signed up on the website, charter.cuyahogacounty.us, expressing an interest in one or more workgroup areas.

An additional 50-100 others, county employees and community members, were asked to offer their expertise in specific areas.

Workgroups are led by at least one county and one community expert. Workgroups were given the flexibility to organize tasks as they saw fit.

•Functional Workgroups: Function areas impacted by the Charter (Finance/Administration, Human Resources, etc.)

•Related Workgroups: Public Engagement, Government Collaboration, Campaign Finance Reform (being addressed outside of transition process by County Prosecutor)
