FBO (FIXED BASE OPERATION)

Established in 1968, Skycharter is the most experienced Fixed Base Operator in Canada dedicated to superior service, safety and value. Selected the FBO of choice for Toronto by the prestigious Elite Traveler magazine, Skycharter is also the long-time preferred FBO for CAA (Corporate Aircraft Association) and many private and commercial operators.

SECURITY

With completely restricted access, our facility and the lock gate system designed and monitored to ensure privacy and safety are attractive features guaranteeing limited access to both aircraft and passenger areas. Recognized for our security protocols by the airport authority, Skycharter FBO was chosen by the Presidential Marine One detachment and earned commendations from both the Commanding Officer, and the President of the United States himself. Skycharter operates 80,000 square feet of heated hangar space with streamlined efficiency, complete aircraft servicing and quick turnaround by professional line crews. A multi-million-dollar renovation of the base provides luxurious and comfortable surroundings for both passengers and pilots. A boardroom is available for private meetings while pilots are provided with a snooze room and a private lounge with spectacular views of the airport. Light snacks are always available.

Skycharter’s Maintenance Department received its Transport Canada approval in 1974 and has been an exemplar for many maintenance departments during the ensuing years. Employing only highly experienced engineers and led by a former Minister’s Designate, Skycharter’s AMO employs proven trouble-shooting, diagnosis and tracking procedures to ensure the highest-quality work, secure record-keeping and, ultimately, safety first. Use of flexible maintenance scheduling allows operators to maintain maximum flight-readiness, ensuring your aircraft is ready to fly when needed. Skycharter AMO also provides an avionics and instrument shop, battery shop, as well as a complete parts department (purchasing and inventory). We provide maintenance tracking and planning, records review and importation, pre-purchase inspections, engine boroscopes, pitot-static checks, aircraft weighing, tool-calibration service.

One of the reasons Skycharter has enjoyed an unblemished safety record for over 50 years is our commitment to hiring only the most qualified pilots, for both experience and judgement. Unlike many corporate and commercial operators, Skycharter doesn’t provide a stepping-stone path for junior pilots to gain experience, but selects only those who have demonstrated experience and sound operational judgement. Skycharter has been audited for safety by many corporations; we have maintained the ARG/US safety rating since 2014.
