Manufacturers who have to weld small titanium components such as parts for

the aerospace industry or valves for the nuclear industry. for example, can

carry out the welding to a high degree of quality when batches are placed into

Flexible Enclosures and welded at very low oxygen levels.

Flexible enclosures are available in circular format up to 72” diameter and in

rectilinear format up to 6’ long.

Some typical ones are shown here

Once the batch has been loaded, excess air can be ejected by collapsing the

enclosure over the work area and then purging started.

Low cost weld purge monitors are now available as well to go with the very

attractively priced enclosures to create and accurately measure a weld purge

down 1 part per million (1 ppm).

One type of such monitors is shown here:

Those manufacturers with large quantities to be welded can easily afford to

have two of the enclosures working in tandem and use the exhausting purge

gas from the first enclosure, to begin the purge in the second while welding in

the first one is being completed.
