Come check out the yumminess! 2019 Prom is this Saturday from 8-11 at the Dallara Indycar Factory in Speedway, IN. All attendees (WHS students & guests) must bring photo ID. Street parking is available near the venue. As a reminder, students may NOT purchase tickets from one another. All attendees must be on the official guest list, and all ticket exchanges must be approved by the Junior Class Sponsors. If you have questions or want to check if you are on the Prom Guest List, see Mr. Morse in the Science Department. These faculty members including but not limited to secretaries, counselors, custodial

staff, cafeteria workers, and teachers have strong work ethic and commitment to

Now Open for Registration: The Hoosier Chapter of the BMW Car Club, will be doing a Street Survival Teen Driving Program at Martinsville High School on Sunday, September 15, 2019. This is NOT a drivers’ ed class! We teach car control, skid control, accident avoidance, proper braking, and much more, all in the car the kids drive every day. This class is already more than 30% sold out so act fast. Cost is $95.00 and it can, literally, save your kids’ life. Thur & Fri: All out WHS American Pie days - pick an artist from our show lists to represent and/or any WHS AmPie t-shirt from any year's show ♡ Attention Junior and Seniors: The 2019 Prom "Red Carpet Affair" is on Saturday, April 27, from 8 to 11 PM at the Dallara IndyCar Factory, Speedway IN. We will not have Wednesday night tutoring for the remainder of the school year due to construction.

Registration for Summer School through Indiana Online is open! It will run from April 8—May 31, 2019. Students can register at indianaonline.org . Classes run from June 3—July 18, 2019, and all course work must be completed by July 14, with final exams taken during July 15—18, 2019 at Westfield High School. Summer classes are offered at no cost to the student.

Graduating from high school in 2019 and planning to live at home? BAC is the perfect job for you! BAC will work around your college schedule and allows you to work summers too! There are options for AM only, PM only, and AM/PM. The pay is competitive. Reach out to Marci Derado at [email protected] if you are interested. Immunization Notice for Juniors: The following Immunizations are REQUIRED for Seniors before starting school Fall 2019:

1. 2 nd MCV4 (Meningitis) 2. Hepatitis A #1 & #2

● Requires 2 doses given at least 6 months apart ● If you have not started the Hepatitis A series, the first Hep A should be started ASAP

○ Must have documentation of Hep A #1 + an appointment date for Hep A #2 BEFORE school starts in the Fall

( Immunization EXEMPTIONS - Religious or Medical - can be accepted AFTER Spring Break for the following school year.) WHS students and parents: Please be aware that students may not have food delivered from any outside restaurant delivery service during the school day. ANY exceptions MUST have approval from an administrator. Students who forgot a lunch have the option of eating in one of our cafeterias. We have our main cafeteria that offers multiple food choices each day, our Famous Phil’s shop in the Learning Center that offers sandwiches, and our Box Office Bistro that has pizza every day. All seniors must complete the Graduation Information Form by May 1st! This form asks about your post-graduation plans, as well as college and scholarship info. If you wish to be recognized at Senior Awards Night for your accepted scholarships on May 21st, be sure to include this info on the form. Junior Varsity Softball beat Tipton High School 17-2. Westfield Rocks JV Green coasted to an easy victory over Tipton JV 17-2 on Wednesday. Westfield got things started in the first inning posting 7 runs in the first.

Lizzie Batta was in the pitcher's circle for the Shamrocks. She surrendered one run on two hits over two innings, striking out two and walking zero. The Shamrocks totaled 17 hits in the game. Madison Krich, Sydney Flora, Abby Stump, Kennedy Greenwalt, and Sami Stegner each managed multiple hits for Westfield Rocks JV Green. Flora and Krich each managed three hits to lead Westfield. Brynn Oros and Kennedy Greenwalt led Westfield Rocks JV Green with two stolen bases apiece, and Oros led the team with 3 RBI's. Westfield Rocks JV Green coasted to an easy victory over Tipton JV 17-2 on Wednesday. Westfield got things started in the first inning posting 7 runs in the first. The Lady Rocks of Westfield High School traveled to Fishers on Tuesday, April 23rd, to take part in a dual meet with the Tigers. One notable performer was sophomore Hailey Boehm, who too, first place in both the 100 M Hurdles and the 300 M Hurdles. Junior Hannah Fife took third in the 800 M Run. Sydney Black, a sophomore, earned second place in the long jump. Senior captain Zoe Pentecost won first place in both the shot put and discus events. In the 100 M Dash, sophomores Jaden Hammes and Sydney Black both set personal bests. Personal bests were also set by sophomores Julia Clark and Sophia Brown in the 1600 M run. Senior Alli Koontz set two personal bests, in both the 300 M Hurdles and the 100 M Dash. In the throws, Claire Richter and Mimi Wells set new personal bests for shot put while junior Maddie Hunter set her new best mark in discus along with Theresa Pratl. The Rocks JV will compete Thursday, April 25th, at the Noblesville JV Invite, while the varsity will return to action Friday the 26th at the Zionsville Invite You are invited to come and cheer on our @GoRocksbaseball team to a victory against Zionsville on Friday, May 3rd at 6pm! REMINDER: Medical Information must be submitted through the PARENT PORTAL of PowerSchool in order for your child to be treated in the health clinic. This includes administering Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen. We will not be calling parents for permission to give medications unless the student is significantly ill. This must be updated EVERY School Year. If you have having difficulty getting into your Parent Portal, please contact the Central Office for assistance We have a new security system this year called Safe Visitor . For the safety and security of our students and staff ALL visitors to the school will need to be prepared to show their driver’s license or photo identification as a visitor in our school.
