WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?

Android Lollipop has been finally released by Google and it includes many new features.

There has been a visual redesign and even more behind-the-scenes improvements, to make it faster, more efficient and friendlier to your battery life.

WHAT’S NEW?

Android 5.0 Lollipop features a cleaner, flatter design with a more fluid interface and animation.

The Quick settings menu now includes controls like flashlight and hotspot.

Users can now view and respond to messages directly from the Android 5.0 Lollipop’s lock screen. There is another new feature where rich descriptions of notifications float on top of your current activity, so users can either view or dismiss any notifications without moving away from an activity.

WHEN WILL MY PHONE COMPANY GIVE IT TO ME?

The more recent and high profile a device, the more likely it is to get an update.

The Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 will be Google’s first devices to come with Android Lollipop. The Nexus 4, 5, 7, 10 and Google Play edition devices will also be able to have the update.
