4 pitches at one offical pitch, goal line -23 yards, 23 yards to middle line, middle line – 23 yards, 23 yards – goal line;
Goal is 3,66 meters and mini goals are advisable;
Official goal keeper;
10 meter-line instead of circle marked by cones.

Rules Goal keeper kicking the ball but not high in 10 meter
area;
Slapping & back hand slapping allowed but Controlled!;
Free hit…..5 meter distance for the opponent;
In 10 meter area everybody 5 meter;
Instead of PC …… free hit at 10 meter line;
Penalty stroke at 6.40 meter;
Scoring low ball at side/back board of the goal….no high scoring;
Long corner –side line 5 meter from the back line;
Interchange at the middle line;
1 Time out per team per match.

Play leader vs Umpire U9 – U10 need good guidance but not too strict;
Be a play leader and not an umpire;
Fixed play leader for all the home matches;
1 play leader per match is enough;
Tell both parties what is wrong;
Have a huddle with both teams to evaluate the match.

Training Hockey is a very technical sport every age group has his own
technical schedule what to train and what not to train;
Make a year plan what to train at this age group;
U9 and U10 must have simple exercises to keep the attention;
5 different exercises, change every 7-8 minutes, good end games and evaluation of each training;
Keep training interesting with many various exercises and positive attitute;
Have an assitant trainer (parent, young player) at each group of 7-8 players and keep control of the training group 6-8 maximum per pitch.

Integration of 8:8 play during the season
After the winter break integration of 8:8 hockey to the U10 group;
