DESCRIPTION
The hydraulic lift is designed to give you hydraulic power for raising and lowering your attachments with finger tip control. This unit operates off the Wheel-A-Matic drive, hydraulic system.
Important - Models 875 and 1075 require Kit No. 6061.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove all parts from the carton and place parts on a clean surface. To identify the parts, mentioned in the instructions, See Fig. I.

2. To obtain proper operating pressure for HY-6 a cone-relief valve, Part No. 6632 and spring, Part No. 6631 must be added to the Wheel-A-Matic unit.
A. Remove left hand footrest from tractor.
B. loosen valve cap using %" end wrench as shown in Figure II.
FIGURE II
C. Place spring, Part No. 6631 in cone, Part No. 6632, now insert both into valve cap location, See Figure III. Replace valve cap (if cap does not thread in easily, spring and cone are not all the way in. Do Not Force Valve Cap.)
FIGURE III
NOTE: On tractors without the clearance cutout on the left hand panel, remove the cover from hoodstand, the "E" ring from the cross shaft, and deflect side panel to get at the valve cap.
3. Using sandpaper or emery cloth remove the paint from the frame cross shaft. Remove the collar and foot pedal. Use a 31'6 drift punch to drive out the roll pin. Older model tractors have a cast iron foot rest without collars.

4 . Remove the height control quadrant.
5. To remove lift assembly, first pull the large
hairpin cotter from lift shaft inside the hoodstand,
remove the three 7{6 bolts and lockwashers. Now the
arm can be worked free from the tractor.
6. Install the new lift arm assembly this time
use two hairpin cotters, Part No. 933506-4, inside the
hoodstand. (Use one hairpin cotter from removed
assembly.) The right hand one can be inserted to
the lift assembly before mounting it to the tractor.
Be sure the loops on the hairpin cotters face the
front of the tractor after insertion. They may be
spread before assembly for easy insertion.
7. Slide the spacer over the frame cross shaft,
followed by the cylinder with fitting holes facing you.
The roll pin will not be used while the cylinder is
mounted to the tractor. Fasten the cylinder rod clevis
to the lift arm, the clevis pin and the two cotter pins,
Part No. 932017-4. NOTE: The brake rod must be po
sitioned behind the lift arm as shown in Fig. IV.

8. Replace the foot pedal and fasten the brake
rod. Replace collar against foot pedal.
9. Mount the valve lever to the valve. It is held
in place with the hairpin cotter No. 933505-4. Fasten
the hose assemblies to the valve as shown in Fig. V.
All hose must be as shown for proper operation.
10. Fasten the valve support to the valve using
the )i -20 x 1)i hex bolts, )i lockwashers, and )i-20
nylok nuts. Fasten the valve assembly to the tractor
with two bolts and lockwasher that were used to hold
the quadrant. See Fig. VI.

11. Mount the indicator plate to the hoodstand. It
is to be positioned as shown in Fig. VI. Attach the in·
dicator arm to the lift arm shaft with the ~6-18 x % hex bolt, ~6 washer, and ~6 lockwasher. When the
cylinder rod is retracted the indicator arm should be
pointing to the "UP" position on the decal. See Fig. VI.
FIGURE VI
12. Con neet the hose fitti ngs to the ports as shown
in Fig. VI and VII. The tool box may have to be
moved to attach a wrench to the fitting, if so take out
three of the bolts and just loosen the fourth bolt near
the fill pipe. This will allow the tool box to pivot
enough to allow a wrench to be used. NOTE: Some
models have a hole instead of a slot and the rubber
grommet is installed to protect the hose.

FIGURE VII
13. Mount the footrest bracket to the tractor frame. The bracket fits on the inside lip of the frame and it lines up with the rear hoodstand mounting hole and a hole in the footrest. See the exploded view drawing. NOTE that the bolt head should be inside the bracket. Older Model tractors do not have the clamp mounting hole in the footrest. On these models a hole must be drilled, use th.e clamp as a guide for locating the hole. Fasten the footrest in place. You will note that the footrest is now spaced out one hole on the footrest bar, this is to allow room for the cylinder. The above step is for "Charger" Model tractors, on all others the footrest slides out on the frame cross shaft.
14. The hoses should run along the outside of the footrest flange as shown on the cover photo.
15. Start tractor, move valve lever up and down through several cycles to clear system of air. Adjust indicator arm to correspond with decal. Check for leaks at all fittings. Check fluid level in transmission.
CAUTION: If the hydraulic lift accessory is ever disconnected from the hydraulic unit the cone and spring (6631 and 6632) must also be removed to prevent excess pressure build-up in the system.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
A. All attachments that normally work off of the tractor lift lever will operate in the same way with the hydraulic unit.
B. IMPORTANT: Never run unit without fluid or warranty will be voided.
C. CAUTION: Use only Type "Au Automatic Transmission Fluid.
D. If unit is dismantled for service make sure all parts are clean before putting unit together again. After service it is advisable to install new fluid.
