Accelrys Enterprise Platform 9.1 support The connector has been tested and is fully functional on the new AEP 9.1 platform (formerly known

as Pipeline Pilot Server)

New features

Visualizations: Coloring Tibco Spotfire Coloring parameters are now exposed in the “Visualization” component:

All color modes, for Categorical and Continuous data, are available, as “Add Rule…” and “Add Point”

functionalities:

A .dxpcolor file can also be used to color visualizations. This file is located either on the local desktop

or in the Tibco Spotfire Library.

Visualizations: Tooltips Tibco Spotfire Tooltip parameters are now exposed in the “Visualization” component:

Component “Add Data Table” Loading data into Tibco Spotfire is now easier using the component “Add Data Table” instead of

components “Data Loader” or “Data Loader From Information Link”. This new component also allows

the loading of data from files:

Component “Rename Data Column”

This component allows to rename a Data Table Column.

Major changes

Active Data Table and Active Page Most of components contain “Data Table name” and “Page name” parameters and are unusable

without a value for these parameters. With the Discngine Tibco Spotfire Connector for Pipeline Pilot

v1.3, these two parameters can be empty, the Tibco Spotfire active Data Table and Page are then

used.

Information links The way to specify information link parameters has been modified in order to follow the

configuration block syntax (described here:

http://stn.spotfire.com/stn/Tasks/CreatingConfigurationBlock.aspx).

New example protocols The global organization of example protocols has been changed:

- “Data Management”, “Document Management”, “Tibco Spotfire interactions” and

“Visualizations” directories contain protocols focused on the use of the components,

- “Biology”, “Chemistry” and “Plate analysis” directories contain protocols dedicated to

sequence analysis, chemistry analysis and plate analysis respectively,

- “Javascript Examples” contains a tutorial explaining how to use the Javascript API of the

connector.

Moreover, example protocols contain explanations in Pipeline Pilot on the use of components.

Warning: to apply the “Document Management/Apply a Template Saved in Library” protocol, you

have to import a template in your Tibco Spotfire Library, in the “Discngine Pipeline Pilot Connector”

directory. This template, named “InfrastructureInvestmentsTemplate”, is in the “Discngine Tibco

Spotfire Connector 1.3/1.3/Tibco Spotfire Library/Infrastructure_Investments_Template.part0.zip”

archive file. The import of a template on the Tibco Spotfire Library is described in the “Discngine

Tibco Spotfire Connector Installation Guide.pdf” document, section “Library configuration”.

Minor changes

Modified components - In “Visualization”: it is now possible to select Table Plot columns. The Tibco Spotfire “auto

add new columns” property is exposed.

- In “Add Page”: a new parameter “Replace Existing Page” is available.

- In “Add Data Table”: a new parameter “Replace Existing Data Table” is available.

Global - Code signing: Discngine Tibco Spotfire Connector packages are now signed by Discngine

- Discngine Tibco Spotfire Connector Packages and DLL files are renamed

- Discngine license key: you can be notified about the expiration of your license key, and you

can specify the period during which you want to be notified.

Bug fixes - The component “Event Listener”: new component with highlight event bugs corrected (the

former component is deprecated).

- “Add Page” component: Table Plot visualizations were not generated in new pages.

Moreover, the Web Panel is now visible only on the first page (but remains available via the

menu bar button).

- “Visualization” component: the marking management is corrected. The “Limit data shown in

visualization using markings” parameter was accessible via the “Spotfire Marking Name”, and

the marking name was not modifiable.

- “Page Tile” component: bug fix on "mode" parameter treatment.

- “Get Data Table” component: bug fix on the marking management and simplification of the

component.

- “Data Export” component: renamed in “Export Data Table” and an internal bug is corrected.

- Box Plot visualization: the use of “show comparison circles” parameter resulted in an error.
