What's a CSA?

Our farm stand CSA is a type of Community Supported Agriculture. Through our farm stand

and farmers markets, we reach out to the surrounding neighborhood and provide wholesome, healthy, fresh food. Our CSA operates on a debit system, allowing you to buy the amount of anything

you want, when you want.

CSA's are good for customers

• You feed your family nutritious fresh fruits and vegetables that were grown in an environmentally friendly way.

• You get to see how your food is grown, and teach your family where good food comes from.

• As a loyal customer, you get a discount on prices, and first dibs on early or scarce crops.

CSA's are good for farmers

• We have a predictable sales outlet for our produce.

• We get closer contact with our customers,

giving us more opportunity to learn what you really like.

• We get income early in the season, when resources are at their lowest, and expenses

at their highest.

• Through this relationship, we can better serve the nutritional needs of our community as we learn what the consumer cares about.

Amongst America's increasingly large scale food production system, CSA farms stand out as a unique place where relationship and trust is at

the heart of our nourishment.

Our StoryWhat started as a simple ploy to keep the kids out of trouble escalated into a full time

multifaceted farm business.

We planted a few strawberries and a bit of sweet corn in the 1960s,

and added acres and crops as our kids grew older. We set up a farm stand, offered U-pick, and started going to farmers markets. Our

farm stood us in good stead through six high school and college educations, and soon the kids were launched out on their

own – time to buy more machinery to be more labor efficient!

Today our farm depends on our good employees, loyal customers, and the experience of decades of growing veggies and berries in the

Southern Tier.
