• If we’re REALLY going to be honest, most… maybe ALL of us should have our hands up.

• So what should we do when we lie? That’s what we’re going to talk about today. Let’s pray!

Lying might seem like the easy thing to do, but in the end no one wins when you lie. In fact, sometimes when you lie so much, you can’t keep track of all your lies. Then you create this web of lies that you can no longer control. And the truth will come at you all at the same time. Wanna see what I mean? Let’s stand!

• When lie, we don’t just hurt the people we are lying to and ourselves; we hurt God. God is perfect – He must punish sin. The INCREDIBLE thing about Jesus is that He took the punishment WE deserve for our lies and for all of the sins we commit.

• So when we do lie, we need to talk to God with an HONEST heart and ask for forgiveness.

• That leads us to our Need to Know. Take off Lying, Put on Truth. Say it with me!

The Bible is the truth and it’s God’s living Word. • Like we heard in the video, Ephesians 6:14

talks about putting on the belt of truth when we put on the armor of God.

• Now it’s up to US if we want to live a life like Jesus and tell the truth!

• Our God is NOT dead. When we are followers of Jesus, the Holy Spirit lives in us and helps us to tell the truth.

• Let’s remember that as we worship today! ONE-Z_Worship

2 Corinthians 9:7 tells us “You should each give what you have decided in your heart to give. You shouldn't give if you don't want to. You shouldn't give because you are forced to. God loves a cheerful giver.” So when we give offering, we should do it with a happy heart. We do it as a way of saying thank you to God for all He’s given us. If anyone has offering, please place it in (indicate area).

Speaking of next week, we are starting our new series called “We are Family”! God created families, and He loves your family. In this series, we will discover how we can work together with our families to show love, get along with each other, trust God together, and follow His plan for us.

For our last week of our Back to School prayer, we are going to pray for your classmates! Let’s ask God to guide your classmates to make good choices, good grades, and be good friends this year! Let’s pray!
