DOGWOOD HOLLOW FARMS – Look for the distinctive red tent featuring delicious homemade goat milk ice cream; four flavors by the cone, or “to-go” containers. Carroll Pierce arrives from Bay Springs with goat cheese, soaps, lotions, jams, jellies, and preserves. Dogwood is famous for its goat milk foot rub. Carroll’s hens have been working overtime, and he has brown eggs, and martin or bluebird gourds. DONNA CORKERN – Donna returns this week with her creative hand-made crafts and snuggly toys. This farmer/crafter will bring the first of her fall crops as well. Look for cherry tomatoes, squash, and fresh herb plants. ELEGANCE FROM MOTHER EARTH – Is a handcrafted jewelry company. Hazel uses natural materials to craft unique affordable jewelry for everyday or special events. Her focus is on you and what makes you smile. ELLIS FARMS – Gerri & Paul, from Copiah County, will be at the market with freshly prepared jams, jellies, preserves, pickled squash, salsa, delicious muffins, other treats and gift items. New crop fresh greens are also here this week. RAY & NELL GALLEY – These talented Mt. Olive craftsmen are registered members of the Craftsmen’s Guild of Mississippi, and feature intricate woodworking skills applied to fine musical instruments. Come by and be amazed at the quality of their work. You can learn to play the dulcimer in minutes. GIFTS FROM THE HIVE – Bill Averitt has everything you can imagine from local bees. Honey is available in all size bottles and jars. Try his honey, beeswax candles and soaps. Bill and May Ann are totally devoted to their profession; they love dealing with bees, and are willing to discuss beekeeping any time or place. VICKIE GILBERTS PAINTED WINDOWS – Vickie has beautiful, unique, colorful acrylic paintings on the panes of wooden windows of all shapes and sizes. Prices are very reasonable. GILES FRESH HONEY – Jim Giles arrives with fresh Mississippi honey offered in both pints and quarts. This Pearl, MS farmer is working hard to bring other farm items to the Market for your pleasure. This week, Jim has bee hives (no bees) set up at the building’s east entrance. HATS BY CONNIE – Connie Trigg offers excellent gift items. She has knitted baby wear, and items for Mom also. Drop by her back-corner booth to view the quality she sews into each garment. HIGH HEELED HIPPIE – Peyton is located in the SE corner stall inside the building. She brings arugula, kale, baby beets, radishes, and tasty fall heirloom tomatoes and cherry tomatoes. Also shop here for Komatsuna (tender mustard greens), and hot and sweet peppers, and this year’s first baby lettuce. Her interesting items of the week are little Mexican sour gherkins and miniature eggplant. CLAUDE JONES – The Jones’ always feature the finest in canned pickles and peppers. Shop for Claude’s famous sheet and layer cakes, and look for their assortment of jams, jellies, preserves, fresh canned vegetables, as well as cookies, breads, and more. You’ll find Jackson’s best peanut brittle, and the most delicious fruit pies here. Claude specializes in fresh vegetable soup mix, salsas, and cookies. KLEIN’S FARM – Klein’s Farm has the largest variety of peppers in Mississippi. Also, look for Kiowa and Cape Fear paper shell pecan varieties this Saturday. These pecans are meaty and so very good. THE KNIFE MAN – “Sharp Knives for Good Cooks” from Tom the Knife Man. Tom Rankin also sharpens scissors, pinking shears, hedge clippers, loppers, shovels and hoes. Leave your items and he “sharpens while you shop!” He will be located next to the entrance of our Market. It is a great time to bring your turkey or ham carving knives so they will be ready for the Holidays. Bring your hunting and skinning knives before deer season. LEVEE RUN FARM – Leann is back! She brings her finest chicken, duck, and quail free-range eggs, and fresh greens. She is accepting deposits for fresh Thanksgiving turkeys, LILEE’S GOURMET BAKERY – This Tate county five generation farm-based vendor grows its own zucchini for Lilee’s famous, all natural Zucchini (Z) breads. Samantha Green’s muffins and breads come in four (4) creative flavors: Cinnamon spice, Carrot pecan, Chocolate chip, and Raisin. This week’s Farmers Market specials include chocolate chip and carrot-pecan Z muffins. Come and learn more about Lilee’s community work with children as it pertains to healthy eating. Sample some of Lilee’s Jalapeno Zucchini bread while you are here. LIVINGSTON SPRINGS – Lisa will have fresh eggs from free range, pasture-fed chickens, and will take your order for shares of free range and grass fed beef and lamb. JEFFERY MELTON – Nothing ordinary here, this artist designs handmade yard art including metal bird feeders, wire baskets, wind vanes, decorative bird houses, mixed media wall vases, and hand-forged jewelry. Jeffery is also a member of the Craftsmen’s Guild of Mississippi. MIKES SEASONING – Is an all-purpose seasoning that enhances the flavor of, meat, poultry, seafood, and vegetables. Look for Ineke on facebook PROGRESS MILK BARN – Kenny and Jamie Mauthe’ will be on hand with whole milk, naturally-reduced milk, chocolate milk, creole cream cheese, cheesecake, heavy cream, mozzarella cheese, and the best butter available anywhere. Stock your refrigerator with fresh ricotta, Greek yogurt, and whole-milk plain yogurt. This family-run dairy farm will provide the best bottled milk straight from their happy Holsteins. Four flavors of locally produced pig skins always available here. SQUEEZERS – Delicious, freshly-squeezed lemonade. David and MJ make this while you wait. Sweet or Diet, regular or flavored varieties will be available. The best tasting lemonade ever served here at the Fair Grounds. Look for the colorful tent east of the Market entrance. PAT & RUTH ROGERS – The Market welcomes another new artist couple. The Rogers specialize in intricate wood carving and are members of the Craftsmen’s Guild of Mississippi. Come see the magnificent eagles! MICHAEL SHOFFNER WOODWORKING – Mike has a new lineup of cutting boards, and a good stock of his popular platters and bowls. Mike will take custom orders for his expertly-produced Mississippi wood items. Look for Michael Shoffner Woodworking on facebook. SOUTHERN CREOLE – Paul is featuring a special menu this week, which includes Shepard’s Pie, turnip green soup, bacon hot dogs, chili, and chocolate chip cookies. Look for their new items, fresh ground beef, and rib eye steaks. CAROL THRASHER – Carol has a wide selection of hand-made quilts. She is a “fixture” here at the Market, and welcomes all to come by and enjoy the absolute finest quality Mississippi-produced quilts. TILLERS BISCOTTI – Larry is back with his delicious cookies, biscotti, brownies, and muffins. These are the highest quality, well-packaged baked goods, which will delight any appetite. A well-known and respected chef, his biscotti has been a fixture on Jackson’s dinner tables for years.

WAMEGO VALLEY FARM – Is back this week and features pastured free-range eggs packed fresh daily. Look for the bright rooster sign and clear plastic cartons: sold by the dozen or 1/2dozen. WHAT’S COOKING MISSISSIPPI – Allen Vest is offering hard-to-find Mississippi products that make excellent gifts and are of the highest quality. Come by and sample his cookies, snacks, and candies.
