• Prior to the election, R’s held 31 governorships while D’s held 18. After the election Republicans are poised to gain at least two governorships, bringing their nationwide total to at least 33

• From D to R: Missouri, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

•North Carolina still too close to call

Trifectas:

• Before election: R 23, D 6

• After election: R 24, D 5*

• New R trifectas in New Hampshire and Missouri

• R’s lose trifecta in Nevada and maybe North Carolina
