PETROCHEMICAL OILS: Cheap, harsh, mineral based compounds, often with impurities that can cause irritation. Bad for you and the planet.

PARABENS: Cheap (but effective) preservatives, linked to endocrine disruption and cancer. We choose safer and or natural preservatives.

PHTHALATES: Toxic plasticisers added to some cheap perfumes to enhance performance, linked to reproductive disorders and disease.

SULPHATES: Cheap, harsh (but effective) palm or petrochemical based detergents. Can strip colour from hair. Sulphates are also used in laboratories as skin irritants.

PALM OIL: Cheap vegetable oils sourced from Oil Palm plantations. Palm Oil is responsible for the destruction of rainforest and many endangered species natural habitats. Palm Oil and it’s derivatives can be replaced by more ethical alternatives. It costs a little bit more, it takes more effort, but we think the investment is worth it.
