What Our Participants Have to Say:

Travel Training is your ticket to public transit freedom! Metro and St. Clair County Transit District offer Travel Training to people with disabilities wishing to use MetroBus and MetroLink services to reach their destinations. This service is helpful whether you have little to no experience using MetroBus and MetroLink or you have limited eligibility for Metro Call-A-Ride or Alternative Transportation System.

Individualized InstructionPrior to starting Travel Training, you will be individually evaluated. Based on your evaluation, instruction will be tailored to specifically meet your skill levels and needs. Individualized instruction continues on a regular basis until you feel confident in your ability and you can demonstrate complete independence in using public transit.

Through one-on-one instruction with a qualified instructor, you will learn to ride fixed route buses and trains. You will also learn the practical skills needed to travel the Metro system with confidence and safety.
