Concept – These videos are based around one particular idea. This is normally unusual so that it attracts in their target audience and draws them in. There are 2 types of concept videos : Thematic – These have a lot of common themes in the music videos, and depend on the genre of music. e.g. rap videos go for lots of street images. Symbolic – Uses a lot of symbols to build up meaning e.g. a graveyard would signify death. Different lighting is used to reflect the mood of the video. Is usually face paced and includes the use of montage clips – (images to create meaning)
