What is a media institution?

A media institution is an established, and often profit based organization, that deals in the creation and distribution of advertising, entertainment and information services. It helps in gathering information, and perceptions about different groups of people and their originality.

The two media instaitutions I researched:

Kiss- The East of England and South Wales & the West the Kiss network reaches more than 4.3million listeners weekly, a further 1 million people tune into the national digital station.

Which some people in my questionnaire said they listen to the radio

Metroradio because it is the same kind of music genre

Their women directed magazine are more lifestyle, even though they already do simular magazines like mine, they don’t have one and are more likely to buy.

Their advertising could provide opportunites for my for my magazine:

Suitable for my audience as they are teenagers and usually buy magazines for ‘free stuff’ and could have: scratch ‘n’ sniff or ‘peel it’ fragrances, for example with the audiences favourite band members favourite type of ‘food’ smell and allows the reader to touch and explore the magazine making it more than just a music magazine and presenting something new for a magazine.
