What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

• Development Hell are an independent distributing company that are in charge of distributing and editing one of the most popular Dance and Electro music magazines on the market, MixMag.

• I have found many ideas from MixMag as it fits the style and also contains the content that my music magazine provides. The company have helped get the magazine recognised world wide and since 2009 have even begun to publish ‘MixMag Brazil’ focusing on how the genre of music is received to the population and also helped organise promotional events for up and coming artists from the country.

• Development Hell LTD may distribute my music magazine as it again focuses on Dance music and would draw the same audience that congregate in prolific numbers to own MixMag, with the success of MixMag the company has now also published The Word also a music magazine, this possibly showing that they want to gain a larger portfolio of music magazines under their belt so may relish at the chance to add another, this further giving reason why I believe the company would want to distribute my magazine.

• Bauer Media may also be another distribution company that may take interest in my magazine. One of the largest distribution companies in the world, Bauer have many music magazines and also radio stations that they help fund and magazines they publish.

• Bauer publish and distribute music magazines such as Kerrang!, Mojo and Kiss and also edit and produce Television channels such as 4music and also broadcast Radio stations such as Rock.FM these all being very successful products in the market.

• I believe Bauer may be interested in distributing my music magazine as even though they do publish many music magazines they do not have any under the genre of Dance and Electro with main focus on Rock and Chart Music. Therefore my magazine may fill a gap and give them a spectrum of magazines that are all genres and attracting a wider audience with the magazines they produce. Also the products that they publish are very popular with the public and are very competitive with other magazines alike on the market.
