Production and distribution company used in the title sequence of ‘Colly’

• In our title sequence for our teen drama 'Colly' we have decided to use paramount as our main production company. This is because paramount production is a major company in distributing mainstream movies, which is were 'Colly' comes in, as it is a high school drama. Also major companies have higher budgets, so the are then able to financially support the production of the movie. As well as, employ more people to work on the movie. Lastly we have chosen to create our own production company ‘A Candi Media Production’ to our title sequence as we had produced it too.

Cont.• We were influenced by other mainstream

dramas to find the best distribution company to promote our movie. 'Mean Girls' is the movie we decided to focus the most on when it came to production companies, as it did well with distributing the movie to teenage audiences, so we chose paramount as teens are our target audience. As well as this, we have also chosen to create our own production company ‘A Candi Media Production’ to our title sequence as we had produced it too.

Why Paramount would be best suited to distributing ‘Colly’?

• Paramount would be best suited to distribute the movie, as the company is very popular in the movie industry, so it will be hard to turn down movies from a mainstream company due to their media attention and hierarchy in the movie world. The film is expected to be released in the cinemas, such as Vue and Odeon as they are popular in showcasing digital releases.

The impact of the production company

• The impact the major company had towards the making of the title sequence is the number of credits. There were more credits than independent companies, as they are able to afford more people to work on the movie. The credits from the ‘Mean Girls’ title sequence helped us with crediting people if ‘Colly’ were to become a mainstream high school movie. The following credits were used: (credits are in order)
