Online systems / LMS / Parent Portals
• Uptake subsidies available to all state and state integrated schools with the right SMS and LMS
• Working with eTAP, Edtech and Dataview
• Rapid over-subscription of primary quota across all vendors
• Positive reflection on the hard work done over many years by groups such as yours
• Intention is to assist 200-300 schools per year
• Check out the SMS – LMS Group to learn more
E-portfolios
• Earlier session covered much of what, why, how, where
• And we have been busy over the last 18 months and have plans for the next 18
– Guidelines for and by schools
– Case studies together with JISC
– Mahara
• Investment in usability
• Scoping integration with LMS
• Taster sessions
• Finding other partners/backers
• And more work is required
Reusable and portable content
• Our background
• Introduction to Wayne
Identity and Access Management
• How many credential sets (i.e. usernames and passwords) do you have for your professional/work activity?
• What value would you place on having fewer, that grant access to most key services/sites/applications, and worked from school and from home?
• Would you then place a higher value on these and care for them better?
• Hope is on the way
– Story/demo from Tawa Intermediate
– List of SAML services
Musings
• Pre-conditions for successful implementation of (e or b -) learning tools and benefits of school-wide use
• Importance of community
• Contribute to what tools should be integrated and how we together build capacity
• I am reading blogs and groups on learning analytics
• So what are you going to do next?
• And while I am here what questions (or messages) do you have for me?
