Resource or SDC depends on percentage of time receiving services.

Usually over 50% of the school day in special education = SDC

Under 50 % = RSP

SDC Special Day Class

– All or most core classes taken in pull out classroom. Small group setting (over 50%)

– May be mainstreamed for Social Studies or Science

– Addresses state standards. – Addresses functional life skills

Job Skills Money Management

Resource

Less than 50% in a pull out program

May be totally included in general education classes with assistance from special education aides and case carriers.
