Read through your two different essays: At the top of a new sheet of paper, create two columns: what’s changed/what’s the same. Fill it in.

Then:Write a letter (not an essay) to me, explaining what has changed about your writing and analysis since September (or what hasn’t changed and why).I want an introduction- 1-2 sentences (maybe talk about the class, leading to your claim of growth). Then I want you to explain how you know your writing has changed/stayed the same. Back it up with examples from essays and from other assignments if desired. Conclusion: finish your letter with information (1-2 sentences) about where you hope your writing continues to improve, and what you hope this class will teach you about writing and reading analysis.
