The USP has to trigger the need to buy.
Everything is a medium! (Sky, footpath, tree, car, bus, T-shirt, sign, Magazine, TV, Internet, etc).
Every medium has a different demographic.
Task 1 – Why a poster works successfully?
You will assess why certain posters work and what makes them so successful.
Take a minimum of 2 successful poster examples and discuss the following:
Colour: Do the colours suit the poster? Why do you think they chose that particular
colour?
Font: Does the typeface express the message
they want? Message:
Have they used words that conveys their message?
Does the message communicate a positive or negative emotion?
Style/graphics/images: Is it a flat two dimensional logo or have
they used shadow, bevel or emboss? Is it a single image or collage? Does it use photos or graphic illustrations?
