What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product ?
Adobe Photoshop
•When I first started using Photoshop, it was at a very basic level and I found the programme confusing.• I found that the programme was very advanced and need some for
of teaching to understand the programme better.• I used some video tutorials to help me understand some of the
tools used in the programme to help with the editing of the photos.• I also learnt that some of the tools are sometimes difficult to work
with as they selected large areas rather than specific areas.
Adobe InDesign
• I found the use of the programme to be quite simple and straight forward.• The programme had a simple style and layout, however it had some
very advanced techniques which I never learnt.• I found out towards the end of the task that the image quality on
the programme was terrible and made the image look bad.• The shapes that the programme offers is limited also and means I
could not get a specific shape which would have been useful.• The programme has little design tools meaning certain textures or
other colours or decals were not available which could of helped relate to the audience
Slideshare
• I found slide share to be very simple and easy to use.• However the programme was too simple and had little use in the
sense of editing and graphics.• There were no designs to relate to my target audience and the
programme had only one purpose, to share presentations.• It was very limited in what it could do.• Contrary to the negative points the programme was fast and
simple to use and upload, so it made sharing in different formats more accessible for my research.
Slide Rocket
• Slide rocket was a very simple programme, very similar to slide share.• The interface was very useful, and I learn how to get around it
quicker and made use of the tools etc. available to me.• The programme was limited in what tools it had and made a basic
presentation.• The programme was good are uploading small presentations, but I
discovered that it struggled with large presentations and took a lot of time to upload.
Prezi
• Prezi was a very detailed and useful programme.• Initially I used it for basic writing and presentations.• I developed on the presentation tools and made the
presentation look better.• Also I developed my understand of Prezi and the appropriate
designs and a relatable design for my audience.• Also I found out that the programme has a lot more design tools
and other such items to use so I used them to make it look better.
Pow Toon
• The programme was very simple and organised, which made the use of the programme easier and as I used it more I familiarised myself with some tools.• As I progressed through some of the presentations I self taught,
and managed to learn about the timing and also different fades and other effects to make the presentation more interesting.• The programme however, which I learnt half way through
learning as a very limited amount of design styles, and have little design effects and other colour mixer which could have been useful for certain slides.
Photobooth
• Photo booth was a very simple app to use.• As I started to use this programme I noticed that there
microphone quality and record level was very low and so any video’s taken were very quiet.• Also I learn that there was little, or next to none video editing
availabe on the programme which meant if you messed up you had to restart again, rather than piece the video together.
